Once a Month Journal Project – September
Using color is a wonderful way to personalize a nature journal page. Just a little pop of color can make the difference between a good page and a great page. I love to use watercolors as the foundation of a page or to accent a particularly interesting subject. Explore the idea of using color on your pages this month using the suggestions below and I highly recommend viewing the images on the Pinterest board.
Nature Journal Page Ideas:
- Create colored boxes on your page to fill with your descriptions. Fill the whole page or use just a few boxes along with a sketch or more text. You can doodle around each box or use the box for a bullet point list.
- Use watercolors or markers to create a colorful border on your page. Then fill the inside of the frame with words and sketches.
- Create a page with the colors found in your marker set or watercolor set for future reference. You can have a theme for your page: spring greens, fall colors, beach colors, etc.
- Create white boxes and then use color around the boxes to highlight your sketches and words.
Don’t miss this! I have created a Pinterest Board for journal page examples. I will label each entry with the prompt that describes it best for future reference.
